USING THE IMAGE GALLERY
We hope you find our Gallery easy to use. Navigation is simple, just click on a sample image to select a category, sub-category or an individual image. Continue selecting images and clicking until you reach the last page for any image. (This is the page that displays only one image and has purchasing information and the shopping cart buttons.)
There are two ways to navigate the gallery: by Category and by Word Search.
BY CATEGORY...
All of our images are displayed in the gallery by category and sub-category.
Major categories are displayed on the main page called SEARCH BITSELA. The major categories are Clip Art, Artist's Gallery, Animations, Hebrew Sets and (coming soon) Coloring Book Sets.
To navigate DOWN (or into) the categories just click on the images.
To navigate UP (or out of) the categories, use the links along the top and bottom of the screen. For example, if you are viewing an image in the Wedding category, the links along the top of the screen will read as follows: Search Bitsela, Bitsela ClipArt, LifeCycle Events, Wedding.
Following is a sample outline showing sub-categories within the Clip Art category.

Once you have selected a particular image, you may view other images in the same category by clicking on the arrows at the top and bottom of the page. Holding your mouse over the arrows will prompt you with the text: next photo, previous photo, first photo (the first image in that category) or last photo (the last image in the category).
BY WORD SEARCH...
Our word search lets you search for images across all categories.
For example, you might find an image you would like to use in your "Bar Mitzvah Thank You Notes" in the Bar Mitzvah Category, but you might also find an appropriate image in the Ritual & Shabbat Category, or in the Artist's Gallery. By entering the words "Bar Mitzvah" in the search box, you will find applicable images in all categories.
To Search:
1. Enter The Gallery from the Bitsela Web Site (you are now
on the Search Page of the Gallery),
- OR - return to the search page from any page in The Gallery by clicking on the "Search Bitsela" link at the top or bottom of any page. You can initiate searches from this page only.
2. Enter a keyword (or words) in the search box at the top of the page, then press the ENTER key.
3. Once your search results are displayed, scroll down to see all of the categories and individual images that qualified.
4. Click on the images to enter categories or to display more about the individual images.
Our Gallery can search for images using words from the image titles, descriptions or keywords we have associated with images.
Our search feature will allow you to find images using alternative spellings, such as Shabbas or Shabbat.
Also, we've identified some images by keyword groups:
Entering "children" in the search box will find images
we think kids will like.
Entering "coloring" will find images that are offered
as black and white line drawings, suitable for making coloring book pages.
Entering "hebrew" will find images that have Hebrew
words or letters in them.
Entering "greeting" will find images with words,
such as "Mazel Tov", "Shana Tova" or "Happy Hanukkah".
Entering "sample" will find images that are offered
FREE as small web images, usually GIF format.

LICENSE AGREEMENT:
All Gallery Images are copyright protected and are sold under a binding
license agreement which limits how the images may be used. Please read the
agreement before purchasing or using our images. If you have questions about
appropriate or legal uses of our images, or do not understand any part of the
license agreement, please contact us.
REFUNDS:
In order to keep our prices low, downloaded images are NOT returnable and are
NON-REFUNDABLE. If you purchase an image that does not meet your expectations
or have problems downloading an image, please let us know and we will attempt
to repair the problem.
To make sure you can download our images and use them in your applications, please try our sample image set (offered below) before you purchase from the gallery. If you have questions not answered here, please feel free to contact us.
SAMPLE IMAGES:
Our sample image set provides an opportunity for you to verify that you can
open our WINDOWS® Image Packs, and use our images in your
favorite Windows application(s) before you purchase from the Gallery.
Five sample images and a help file are zipped into a self-extracting executable. Since this is an executable format, you may receive a security warning, you must click- through this warning to download the files. All of our files have been scanned by Norton Anti-virus before uploading to our servers.
To download your free images click on the "download now" button below. With most browsers you will be prompted to run the executable and extract the files. With other browsers you must save the file to disk first. We suggest saving to your desktop. After saving the .exe file, simply double click on the file name or icon to extract the image files.

Our Sample Image Pack includes a colored BMP, colored JPEG, colored GIF, black and white line drawing TIFF and a greyscale TIFF.
ANIMATIONS:
Our animations are offered free of charge and may be downloaded by clicking
on the image while in gallery. Usage must comply with the terms of our license
agreement.
PAYMENT:
Images may be purchased and downloaded using your Visa, MasterCard or PayPal
account. So that we can offer a secure payment gateway, our online processing
is managed by PayPal. 6% state sales tax will be added for customers in Connecticut,
including non-profit organizations. Sorry, we can't handle that exception at
this time.
After payment is verified you will be sent an e-mail containing a link to download the image(s) you have purchased. In order to enter our downloads area, you will need to enter the same e-mail address you provided when purchasing the image.
IMAGE PACKS (PRICE $3.32 - $12.):
Our images are offered in downloadable Image Packs for use on your computer
having a Microsoft® Windows® operating platform. Our Image Pack is a
compressed self-extracting executable containing one or more image files and
a text file. Once you have downloaded the executable, simply double-click on
the file name to open it and extract the individual image(s), the text file
should open automatically.
Most Image Packs contain 3 images, a small GIF, PNG or JPEG for web and e-mail use, a BMP for RGB color printing and a TIFF for black and white printing.
Single Format Image packs, such as our JPEG image packs, will download as a compressed self-extracting executable containing one image file and our text file. Once you have downloaded the executable, simply double-click on the file name to open it and extract the image file, the text file should open automatically.
CUSTOM IMAGES (PRICE $30.):
We offer a limited level of custom work at $30. per image. For example, we may
be able to change the colors used in an image or resize a web image when you
need it larger. We also offer some images in Mac-compatible formats and in CMYK
color as custom images. If you are interested in having us customize one of
our gallery images for you, please contact us
by e-mail.
GIF - Our GIF images are for use on your web site or in e-mail messages.
Most are anti-aliased on a white background and will work well on web pages having a white or very light colored background.
Transparent images may be placed on most light colored backgrounds and against most light-colored background images such as textures and patterns. Non-Transparent images should be placed on a white background only.
The longest side of our web images is approximately 200-300 pixels.
For your convenience when coding web pages, the size of the image is included in the file name.
Resizing GIF images may reduce the clarity of the image.
If you require a larger image for your web site, or one anti-aliased for a dark background, please consider using our custom images service.
JPEG - Our JPEG images may be used on your web site or in e-mail messages; also most photograph and word processing programs can display and print jpeg images.
JPEG images sold as SINGLE FORMAT IMAGES are suitable for both print and web use and are 500 pixels (longest side) or greater. Please feel free to use your imaging software to copy and reduce the size or density of these images for your web or e-mail application.
When our JPEG images are specified as WEB images, the longest side of the image is approximately 200 pixels. Resizing JPEG images may reduce the clarity of the image. If you require a larger image for your web site, please consider using our custom images service.
B&W TIFF - Offered as greyscale images OR as line drawings. Both are suitable for printing in newsletters or in handouts or flyers that will be printed or copied on black-ink copiers. TIFFs in our image packs are approximately 500-600 pixels on the longest side.
Additionally, most line drawings make great coloring sheets for children. HINT: To find images that are appropriate for print-your-own coloring books, enter the word "coloring" in our gallery's search box.

Colored TIFFs - Available in 300 bpi, CMYK color for some images by special order.
BMP - Our colored BMP images use RGB (Red, Green, Blue) color. This is the color set that is displayed by your computer screen and used by many ink jet color printers. The color displayed on your screen should be a close match to the color printed by your printer. (If not, contact your printer or monitor manufacturer for instructions for calibrating your system.)
Our BMP images work great in PrintShop® , MS Word®, MS Publisher® and many other word processing and publishing programs.
EPS - Our EPS images are offered as special order images only. Our vector graphics are created in Illustrator® and saved in PC Illustrator8 format. All use spot colors. To use this format, you must have a vector-based graphics program that can handle Illustrator EPS format. Under our license agreement, you may change the colors in an image, add or delete words, or resize the image, when you purchase our EPS format. All other usage restrictions apply.
PDF - Images are available as Adobe Acrobat files by custom order, coloring book images are in pdf format.
